Ubud Monkey forest

izardOne of the most touristy attraction in Bali is Ubud monkey forest.

Monkeys that live there are more friendly to humans than elsewhere.
And they have plenty of spare time to think about matters of life and everything.
The reason why they are not too concerned about looking for food is they are fed by park staff. However they are only given roots that look like taro. Nutritious but not really tasty. So they became experts in getting better foods from hoards of tourists like us.
My wife given these bananas to this macaque, and the monkey managed to scare away all potential competitors. Except for a young relative, which was allowed to watch how bananas are consumed from close distance. Young macaque did not even try to get some - watching was entertaining enough.
Some monkeys get out from the park and roam nearby streets.
Park is quite big and besides live monkeys there are few statues, temples, places for offerings etc
Must see place when in Bali.
