Trip report: Limerick
Aug. 6th, 2011 02:43 pmJust got back from Limerick. It is my first time there (though third time on the green island)
Everything is really so green, in New Zealand it is nearly that green only from May till October.

Old abandoned castle (there are plenty) was just few miles from a hotel I was staying.
I read in a local newspaper that the year is coldest in 50 years. The most common weather condition I've seen was drizzle.

But even drizzle could look fabulous when sun goes out from the clouds for few minutes.
When there is no sun (most of the time) it looks gloomy.

I found Shannon to be a small and dull town, nothing interesting except Intel office.
Limerick is a bit nicer, but still boring.

Once we went to Killarney, it was more lively.

And yes, Irish embassy is the worst: they given me only single entry visa and even for that some e-mail exchange was required. Even Saudi embassy is more friendly.
