Trip report: Hannover, Cebit
Mar. 1st, 2011 08:04 pmAfter I spent 6x less money then expected in Barcelona I was sent to Hannover. This time saving was mere 3x, and even 2x if I consider travel cost.
I did not make pictures of promo girls, there were not too many any way.

Here is one.
And I'll pretend that there are more under cut.
The difference between Cebit and e.g. CES organization is akin to the difference between German and US customer service.
Unlike MWC, here there was a visible centralized Russia's presence. Besides individual companies, there was a nice booth from Russia's ministry of education, showing about 20 demos from different unis. Most quite solid. Some related to nanotechnology. There was also a booth for glonas receiver, and a space satellite's manufacturer was showing several models including full size glonass satellite.

"Skolkovo" project had a big empty booth, it looked like some real estate development project.

I've spotted some "miglaki", license plates were from Berlin.

On Intel booth there were final games of some world gaming championship. I watched one Q3 game and beginning of one SC2, right till second Zerg rush when steam connection dropped.

Intel booth was huge and interesting, but the most interesting part was in NDA section which I cannot show here.

hard core overclocking.

As usual, ICE's I've taken were late, two of them by more then 40 minutes and another by 10.
