Spring 2011 started in Munich.

This Sunday was the first day of spring: it was +12, sunny and hot south wind blows from Italy through Alps. Winter will return once or twice in February. Two years ago we moved to Munich in February and it was -10, quite a change from +30 in Auckland.

For such a great day we've decided to try walking in Ostpark. We come there very often year around for swimming in Michaelibad, but never been to the park yet.

There is hardly any snow left, but lakes are still covered with thin ice.


Hundreds of visitors feed geese, ducks, coots and swans.


Some ppl sleep and even try sunbathing.


I've seen rabbits and hedgehogs near this park, but this time when we were there all animals were hiding, only birds were out.


Most of birds grouped around the lake, only few crows and a magpie decided to skip swimming.
