Virtualization for HA, which VMM?

If I run any mainstream VMM, maximum VCPUs would be well below 64 (available e.g. in Xeon 7550): 32 for Virtual Box, 8 for VmWare, bigger for newer Xen and KVM but it does not help scalability.

All major VMMS focus on workload partitioning use case. There are only specialized VMMs focusing on HA case :(
