Trip report: Chimsee

When we moved to Germany from New Zealand last year, we had a couple of days car of hire paid by employer. We used them to move our stuff from MUC cargo terminal to the hotel and then to our flat, but there was one day still remaining.
So we went to Chimsee, trying hard to keep driving on the right side of the road.
This is a first glimpse of Alps we've ever seen:

As you may notice the day was very sunny and warm.
But when we parked near the lake there was so heavy fog that we had hardly seen anything. When moving towards the island, some wind had blown and in just few seconds we were able to see something at last:

Looking from the Herren island, we could see a Frauen island with it's monastery far away.
