Trip report: Poing
Jul. 18th, 2010 10:44 amYesterday we've been to
http://maps.google.com/places/de/poing/osterfeldweg/20/-wildpark-poing
We were one of very few ppl who came there without kids.
Most of the animals a confined in a fenced areas, quite eager to be fed by strangers.

I fed some too.

They sell some grain on the spot, and some of the animas are literally fed up with it. But they never refuse to take a carrot which we've brought with us there.
Some of the cutest animals get released and then they are begging for food on the footpaths. I wonder how park administration selects which of them to allow to communicate with visitors.

May be most human friendly and Kawaii?
This is a same guy, actually.

This guys apparently have no chance to be released to visitors accessible area. That's not too bad for them, they have a quite big area to live in, with some patch of forest, lake, river, grass, etc.

This lovely creature looks like a dog when sleeping. Some visitors are not happy to see them sleeping, so I've seen tens of elementary school students trying to imitate wolf' sounds, and even single 50-something guy barking at wolf loud trying to wake it up. The wolf ignored and went on sleeping. Good boy!

Predator birds are in the cages. More harmless ones are not.

There are two families of white stork in the park.

The park is surrounded by wheat fields.

Money spent: (4.50 for additional S-bahn zones, + 5.50 entry fee + 2.50 pizza in the park.)*2 = 25E
