On this week I've spent 2 days in Gothenburg, Sweden. Unfortunately I've got some cold right after arrival. It was a bit difficult to be 100% effective on the meetings. But it was especially nasty to sit in Michelin's starred fish restaurant and drink hot tea with lemon for the whole evening.

My condition prevented me from taking hundreds of photos as usual, then deleting all but 10 and posting here 2 or 3 :) I've only got 10 pictures at all. As I was only able to go from hotel to office and back, and there was a harbor to pass, I've mostly was taking picture of ships. There were hundreds of yachts and up to a hundred of bigger ships.

So I'll place pictures of 4 ships I've particulary liked under cut.

The first ship is the hotel where I lived. While Ibis hotels are usually mediocre, this one was ok, and there were some posters like "Best hotel in Gothenburg 2009" and such...

Not too far from this floating hotel there was a floating ship with parking space, but I don't have a picture.
Then there was a kind of navy museum...

I was told by hosts that currently there is no up-to-date navy, and ships I've seen on display looked so 70-ish, 80-ish at best.

This one though looks quite modern.

I am not an expert, so it puzzles me most: According to the flags, it is some Commonwealth navy ship visiting Sweden. However, I cannot recognize the country red ensign belongs to, even with all help I can get from google and wikipedia. Any ideas? The closest I can guess is Bermuda, but it should be a bit different...

Some small private fishing ship.

When looking at the ship, just notice her name :)
