New year in Munich.
Jan. 13th, 2010 11:25 pmThe New Year night was a lot louder then back in St.Petersburg. In Russia it was just a lot of noise from fireworks, and here it was like von Paulus is trying to re-take Stalingrad, and we live in the middle.
Here is how it looked afterwards, January 1st at 11AM:

All city was covered with fireworks covers, and there were absolutely no snow:

But now there is plenty of snow, though cyclists don't mind at all.
Back in St.Petersburg I was one of only handful of people who regularly used bikes in winter, and I was using a winter tire on a front wheel. Here tens of thousands ppl ride bikes in snow, all with normal tires.

... Just a random photo of how the neighborhood where we live looks on Russian Christmas night.. On the wall on the righ there is a graffity saying something nasty about migrants.. :(
