1. On Tuesday, I planned to show a 2 hours demo to a customer. Once my timeslot started, my laptop shown a screen: "Greetings from IT! We started upgrading your windows 10.1 to 10.2. Please wait for a while...". So I had to draw my stuff at a whiteboard for 90 minutes, then during 30 minutes rush through the practical part of the demo. Then on Wednesday and Thursday we had to actually use stuff from my demo, nobody remembered how it works and what to do with it.

All push upgrades always notified me in advance - and there were many - hundreds, if not thousand+. But this one was a total surprise, and timing could not have been worse.
2. In Arlanda airport's 5th terminal restaraunts kitchen gets closed at 8PM. No hot dinner, bro, only sandwiches.

In most US airports at 8 almost everything is closed, except maybe bars. But Årlanda, it's Svenska, with alcohol almost outlawed... probably nothing of that kind either.

Why do you have to use Windows, it's funny, isn't it?

Alcohol was served overnight, and all bars were full. Just no warm food anymore. I think 8pm is the right time for dinner, and for Swedes it is the right time for Whiskey.

The laptop is for MS outlook/excel/word/powerpoint, and SSH/X terminal to my servers. I am too attached to corporate MSFT Office/exchange infrastructure. Now in theory it is possible to switch, but requires too much efforts.

Ха-ха. С моими клиентами (вернее со мной у клиентов) такого никогда не случалось. Mainframe - он и в Африке Mainframe, и ни один Microsoft, ни даже IBM не может его перезапустить, если сам не перезапустишь:)

Так у меня тоже демка крутится на сервере что в рэке в Мюнхенском датацентре, но как и для мейнфрейма нужен же терминал :) Вот терминал и ребутнулся, изза криворуких айтишников.

demo effect)) раньше (когда я по клиентам ездила) для мэйнфрэйма были терминалы, подключенные исключительно к мэйнфрэйму, и ни к чему другому. сейчас - да, можно к черту лысому подсоединяться через айфон даже. добрые старые времена!
