NZ presentation.

izardI am moving back from C coding to designing PowerPoint slides and X86 Assembly tuning. I need some practice with PowerPoint so my friends had asked if I can do a presentation about living in New Zealand.
So I used the best pictures we've brought from there.
You may see those under the cut. (traffic!)
This is Koru, one of the symbols of New Zealand. It is about new beginnings, so that's my favourite symbol and it goes first in the post :)
The picture my wife had made on our first day in Hamilton.
Chimpanzee in Hamilton zoo knows the sun is very strong.
There are no snakes and deadly spiders but there is a Weta. If you google it, you'll find scarier pictures :)
The farm dog is busy looking after herds, so
so a ram assumes responsibilities of a watchdog, guarding a gates chained to a doghouse.
We lived in Waikato valley - one of the most fertile agricultural lands in the world.
A lot of land belongs to department of conservation, and it maintains well marked hiking tracks and huts.
Some of the tracks go through former gold mines.
Some just go through native forest.
It's not difficult at all to find a place on a beach where there is no one but you. E.g. for fishing.
From LOTR places, I liked Mt Doom, especially how it looks from the desert road.
The sign behind me tells that it's forbidden to enter the thermal area, as the crust is very thin and it's very likely that one can fall through and end up in the boiling sulfur.
Most of the geyser eruptions are spectacular. This one is not the strongest, but it produces carbonated soda water. Pretty good one. Coca cola had even bought a spot of land close to this geyser and is selling this water with lemon flavoring agent.
Even in the very center of Auckland city there are cows eating grass on the volcano's slopes.
And the last one is also about Pukeko - very nice bird :)
