Alps: Walchensee loop
Sep. 10th, 2012 12:30 pmThis year weather was good for hiking in the Alps only in August. We were busy at the time so this weekend was the first one when we could go for a day trip somewhere.
I bought a book with description of day trips around Tegernsee. All trips were divided to several categories: blue, yellow, red and black. Blue being a easiest, and black being mostly challenging. Among the trips marked as black, we've chosen one which was the shortest: it should have taken 3.5 hours according to the book. I printed a map from google maps, it looked better than one in the book.

800 meters going up in a cable car. Than 400 meters elevation gain (including about 50 meters climbing assisted by steel ropes), 1200 meters going down.
