Bodyguards

A yesterday's event reminded me that once I was sitting in a big cinema hall, and a VVIP was presenting from a stage. There was a bodyguard standing in a right corner, looking at the audience. The bodyguard was a average built Chinese man in his ... late 30s (or, may be, early 60s).
And his was staring right in my eyes all the time! Every now and then I peeked at him, only to find that he was still looking at me. That was scary! Did he suspect that I am an assassin or something?
After the presentation was over, I talked to my boss (who sat pretty far from me), complaining about the bodyguard. My boss answered that the bodyguard could not look straight into my eyes all the time, because he was too busy staring right at my boss!
I think this is all simple.. 99% of the audience were looking at the presenter. When someone occasionally looked at the bodyguard, he felt it and returned a glance at once. Not sure how he handled collisions, might be he finally had a spare pair of eyes..
