My Christmas gift to myself
Dec. 24th, 2014 10:31 amI am playing with a nice piece of h/w I've just bought on ebay.

Any guess what is it? Very well engineered and built piece of electronics. Full pic under the cut
The Z80A and Ferranti ULA should seem familiar to some of my readers, it is ZX Spectrum!

It is my second PC from late 80s.
All works, now I should try to find the least intrusive way to add AY3810, another 80KB of RAM and floppy disk emulator on a SD card controller. The expansion slot lines go directly to Z80 CPU pins, isn't it nice?
The game loading times from tape, that seemed eternity for me when I was a kid, now just a quick 3-4 minutes. Do I need a floppy emulator after all?
