In the previous post, I've wrote how plans do not quite work with reality. If it started this way, the spiral never goes back on track.

Here is the plan (P), and the reality (R).

2.10.2014
P8.30 I get the robot and Galileo bluetooth beacons on the stage, check that it works, move the robot to a hidden location on the stage.
P9.00 The show starts, I watch it from a visitor seat.
P11.45 I go to the backstage, check everything, prepare to go on the stage to start the robot program, and then tell my part while robot drives according to the script.
P12.00 The keynote starts, I wait for me and robot to be called for
P12.03 I press enter on my laptop to start everything, and go to the stage.
P12.08 My part is over, my colleague comes to the stage to show a BMW motorcycle demo.
R8.30 I am not allowed to place the robot and beacons on the stage. I place the robot any way - it is heavy so they can't remove it. Just put it to a hidden location as planned.
R9.00 I watch the show from a visitor seat. The show is very good, some presenters are brilliant like a heart surgeon that 3d-prints baby's heart before the surgery, or an Italian astronaut preparing for a space mission.
R11.40 They tell me I should go on a stage now w/o any preparation, the schedule had changed because one of the speakers did not arrive in time.
R11.41 I start a simpler program in robot because no time to set up the beacons. My windows laptop crashes (after 6 months of good work w/o bluescreens)
R11.44 Laptop restarted, I start robot and go on the stage. The Intel VP is so brilliant speaker that nobody noticed that our conversation is shorter and off the script. Robot works ok, but in the end it drops one glass full of water because the stage surface is very bumpy (Italian carpentry :)
R11.46 I give the stage for a motorcycle demo.

4.10.2014
P9:00 I get the robot out of the locked room, fully charged overnight and start it in the Intel booth.
R9.00 I get the robot out of the locked room, batteries do not have any charge.
R9:15 Found and fixed a short in a charging cable, started charging
R11:40 Charged 60%, can start showing it.

An ashtray with a Galileo based bluetooth beacon used for robot positioning.
