Time passes
Jun. 6th, 2013 07:41 amI just received an e-mail notification that I have been working at Intel for 10 years. (Since 2002 with a short interruption) They don't give a "golden" watch for that any more, only amazon vouchers.
So just for fun I have applied for a job at Microsoft Munich. Why for fun? Because partly it is an experiment to check the sanity of the MSFT recruiting team. The job description looks like a perfect match for my skills (requires in depth knowledge of low level h/w - s/w interaction related to s/w performance), but I don't pass the minimal requirements - they need a Phd or at least a master's in CS which I don't have. I did not ask any of my acquaintances and ex-colleagues who work at MSFT to refer me to this position, to make the experiment clean.
Interestingly, Linkedin shows a very good job selection right now in Munich - MSFT, Google, ARM, Freescale, Nvidia, etc are hiring.
