izardPutin managed to turn all the world against Russia. Free market economy is not compatible with living under this set of economic sanctions. But what kind of economy is? North Korean! (And like with North Korea, China will be its only gateway to the world.) I am certain Putin and his immediate cronies understand it well, so they will start transforming the economy to mobilisation/survival, communist-Maoist style.
I was skeptical of latest Biden's remark about re-creating USSR first, but now thinking about it again I think he is right! Not about size but about economy type. Why not size? I am certain he will not mess with NATO countries directly so baltic states are safe. Kazakhstan is probably safe too while they are on good terms with China.
You can't get out of North Korea or USSR ca 1930s, so now the window is closing. Unfortunately it may be closing from both sides now :(
