Girls rule!
Nov. 9th, 2012 11:22 amMy wife bought a small iron three years ago. She thought it is a good idea to use it when traveling. However when we went for holidays I did not want to carry it so every time she had to leave it at home.
Last week she went to Russia for two days (she was hired to translate for a small delegation - English/German/Russian). This was a great opportunity to use the iron..
And so she did. In the morning, 20 minutes before check out from a hotel she had ironed a blouse. You may guess what was the problem. It was 10 minutes before a checkout, and the iron was hot :) What would I do if I was in her place? Use water to cool it, gradually.
Julia put the iron into the fridge! (I think it is a common joke :"who will win - a fridge or an iron?", but the joke implies iron is wired and on). Luckily, neither fridge nor iron broke, and 10 minutes was enough to cool the iron so it could be safely stored in a bag.
