I was recently chatting with my German colleague, who is an engineering manager in his 50s. The conversation was in German and when I called myself "Gastarbeiter Ingenieur" he started laughing and admitted that is quite a funny oxymoron.

Why?

In addition to this job our sister team is hiring few more engineers, this time more software oriented.

I will work closely with the hired guys so of course I am interested that the hiring manager finds a person I would like to work with. (And there is recruitment bonus :) )

The hiring team is part of Architecture Group, elite team within organization. Requirements are 8+ years experience in low-level/embedded software development/support, exposure to graphics.

P.S. Our team is also hiring, the job opening is in Paris(prime location, for strong candidate we can agree on other location), focus segment is supporting consumer electronics vendors.

P.P.S. Everyone are hiring as crazy, I keep getting recruiters calls too.

P.P.P.S. One interesting thing is that in US company in Europe fluency in local language is very beneficial but not essential.
