We had not checked in advance if highways in Czech republic are free or not, and were fined right next to the border.

My wife was driving when we were stopped. Policemen told us the fine is 330 euros. Julia looks very cute and young, that probably helped her to negotiate it down to 100 euros. Policemen told her they cannot make it better because it is already minimal fine. And they accept credit cards.

In short - Bratislava we liked the most, and Prague was the cheapest to stay at. We stayed in hotel that costed us 14 euros per person with breakfast included, and breakfast was quite decent. Fabulous view from the room I've posted before was also included, but those youngsters managed to break both elevators so we had to walk up our 7th floor.
