Web 2.0 fiction?
Apr. 18th, 2011 12:27 pmSnowcrash describes near future but computers are described with the very feeling of early ninetees. Same for Broken Mirrors/etc.
Cryptonomicon settings are in the present times, and the computers are described as they were in early 2000ths.
There is plenty of Russian sci-fi written in 2000th, but authors describe computers as if it was late 80s/early 90s.
Is there any modern fiction book with proper computer/internet/web2.0 era references? There is I think nothing in Russian yet, but I may be missing something published recently in English. Any suggestions?
