CPU temperature
Apr. 1st, 2011 05:06 pmI noticed the CPU temperature of one of fanless systems I am testing now reached 96C.
As it is, well, fanless and radiator less, the top of it is just a piece of silicon. I can touch it and hold a finger close for about 0.3 second, then it feels hot.
One of my colleagues told me they had a table once with chip temperatures and the time during which an engineer can apply a finger to CPU without any noticeable pain.
I only wonder if it was 1st April joke or they really did measurements?
