Live from MWC Barcelona
Feb. 12th, 2011 08:14 pmToday I woke up at 3AM in order to get to Barcelona early enough so I have time to set up a demo for MWC.
I booked late so had the cheapest air fare MUC-Mallorca-Barcelona-Hamburg-MUC. I booked late so there were no more places at recommended hotel (3*) which cost $240, so I am staying in one that costs $40 and is closer to the center but 1*.
The hotel has very negative reviews but I don't see the point. It is great value for money. Yes staff speaks only Spanish but is friendly and helpful. There is free and fast wireless internet that works in my room. Because of a central location there are plenty of places just around the corner to have a fabulous and cheap breakfast/lunch/dinner. Btw I know and stay in a very similar place in San Francisco, quite enjoy paying 40$ to live next to Union square :).
The construction of the booths on MWC is still in progress, so everyone had to buy a protective gear.
I will expense this 10E as "emergency hardware". I have to admit I spent 10 minutes trying to assemble this cap but failed miserably so some lady approached me and shown how to put this hat together.
