This week I've been to a customer meeting in Erbach. That is 330km from Munich, but the place is so remote that I did not know before that there are such far away places in Germany. The place is equally far from Frankfurt, Wuerzburg and Heidelberg.

It took us more then an hour to get there from an autobahn exit. First ~30 kilometers out of highway in Necker valley were particularly picturesque, I've seen a lot of very well preserved castles.

They looked even better then well known pearl of Necker valley, the Heidelberg.

The town of Erbach is very clean and neat, and there is a good local beer. There I was shown yet another way to break one of our products, and now have to try hard to find out a fix or workaround.

There are castles around too, but not as well preserved.

The only nasty thing about this trip was that I got home only at 2AM. Part of the trip went through snowstorm, the visibility on the autobahn was hardly 20 meters.
pic ) Very good it only lasted for few minutes. I can only guess how tired was my colleague who drove. And he had to fly to US on the same day! I don't have such stamina I must admit.
