Feldkirchen parking lot stats
Dec. 18th, 2010 10:25 amIn order to finally wake up before work, I am using the following technique:
I run past a big parking lot from a train station to the office, while counting number of cars of different manufactures I pass by. Those cars are parked by ppl who drive to Feldkirchen and then take a train to the city. (It is one of the stations within City S-bahn card limit, where there is a big parking lot)
Top three makes are usually Volkswagen, Opel and then BMW. Usual numbers for those three are 14, 10, 10. Last few days there is a lot of snow and ice on the road, and the mix changed dramatically: I no longer see BMWs. Just one or two.
Here are the possible reasons: BMW owners choose to go to another station where there is a in-door parking. Or they use public transport from the very beginning. Or they don't go to work when it's snowing. Or they took a Christmas holidays one week before Opel and Volkswagen drivers did :)
