Mac OS usability glitch.
Nov. 24th, 2010 09:26 pmApple is very famous for providing a very consistent GUI experience. I agree it is a leader in applied usability of it's products. However there are spots on the sun: this morning I've observed a nice usability bug:
Itunes spawned a modal dialog telling that I can upgrade. The dialog had two buttons: "upgrade now" and "ignore". Neither worked. Very unusual for Mac OS! It took me two minutes to find out why. At the same time System upgrade found that Itunes can be upgraded, and automatically started upgrade process. Then it spawned another Itunes upgrade dialog (also modal), and they clashed.
