Interview questions
Jun. 1st, 2007 03:22 pmNow my wife can teach me how to conduct job interviews - she had done more interviews than me though I am occasionally doing that for 6 years already.
Some times I hear interesting stories (w.o names positions and details, but still very entertaining)
19 y.o., very nice looking guy, applying to sales position in a department store.
- You need to sell a product from a vendor, and you see a customer is choosing a product from it's competitor. What would you do?
- I will wave my hands and shout "come here!"
And so he will!
What will you do if the customer is angry and yelling:
- The stuff you suggest me to buy is rubbish!
I will shout at him
- You are moron too!.
Why not, we are all humans?
So the best thing one can do is to advice a guy that sales skills is currently not his strongest point, and he could either improve soft skills or choose a different career.
