Weird recruiting.
Apr. 10th, 2007 07:21 pmRecruiting agency in a big city had received a profile for a contractor:
Job description: to read text for on-line flash ads.
Requirements: Fluent Russian, good professional voice.
The big city was an english speaking one. So recruiting agency had 2 interviewers:
One checked Russian knowledge and another interviewer was checking if candidate has nice and professional voice.
One of the candidates who has been selected had both fluent Russian and good voice. Unfortunately,
agency's customer had not liked him: he has a strong chinese accent (in Russian) that is not very good thing for commercial targeted on Russian consumers. Unlike other common accents, that could sound provincial or aggressive, that just sounds funny, may be because it is still too rare in european parts of Russia :)
