Generally I don't comment on political matters that do not interfere with my interests and interests of my family and friends. And even then I am trying to communicate the position that is closest to my interests as I see them ;).

This Monday I got few e-mails and numerous instant messages from friends who refused to join us to vacation trip to Beirut on work week 12. All messages about the same: you've told us it is safe, but we knew that there is a civil war there and here is the proof.

I don't agree with this point. It used to be safe for tourists in most Lebanon in last few years, and this terror attack itself does not frighten me enough to cancel the trip. Still, the probability to die from terror attack there is less than in Moscow. What I really dont like about this story besides of the fact that a lot of strangers were wounded, is the possible beginning of political crisis in Lebanon and whole middle east as a consequence of this attack. Hariri was a great person. I am afraid weeks before upcoming elections might make Beirut an unpleasant place for tourists once again :(

Anyway, will hope for the best, and god bless Lebanon. After all, those people managed to stop 15 years old civil war...
