Weekend, zoo
Some high ranked official in the weather department must be from Munich. There was a perfect weather on weekends lately. E.g. yesterday, it was +24 and sunny, not too bad for a Sunday. Today, just for comparison, it is +10 and raining. It is pretty good motivation for work.
So yesterday we've decided to have some walk in the park near Isar and go to local zoo (I've never been there yet). Using public transport would have been easier but we needed to refresh driving skills - we did not use car much in winter. Obviously, there was no parking space in the vicinity from the zoo. So we found some space between 2 parked cars and placed our small vehicle there.
Signs were clearly saying parking was prohibited in the area, but there were around twenty cars of happy zoo visitors there. I've checked there were no fines on the windscreens. Happily enough, I've seen a policeman nearby. I went there and asked with heaviest Russian accent possible, if it is legal to park where we've just parked. The answer was "no, and right now I will fine everyone who did. but you may go and park safely there or there, and then ride here by bus".
As usual, I've spent most of the time near apes.

This guy is the oldest one, and looks very sad.
Penguins live in a room where it is very difficult to make a photo without reflections.

But some reflections appear to be not too bad after all.
Apes like the weather, it must be the first day when there were let go outside.

But I wonder if the tree will ever blossom after she and her child will eat all buds they find.
A trolley is full of elephant's poo.

My wife was looking at the visitors as well as at animals and was counting . She claimed there was more then half of the families either foreigners or German/foreigners. She thinks that as 90% of the visitors are families with small children it is a perfectly representative demographics stats for Munich.
All pictures are in picasa album.
