Der Tag der offenen Tür im Bayerischen Landtag
Yesterday we've been to a local parliament.

When we come by (we do this often, it's quite close from us) we can read a sign, saying only in English: "You may only come inside if you are invited by a member of parliament". This Saturday it was different, and there were crowds of people inside.
Partly it may be because all major parties were giving away a lot of free stuff: pens, t-shirts, lunch boxes, balloons, etc.
It was fun for kids too: they were allowed to take places of the MPs:

All parties were into mild propaganda of their agendas: e.g. my favorite :-[ greens were telling how badly they want to shut down all nuclear power plants, stop genetics research and promote more organic farming, let the old days when humankind lived in the caves return. I still think they love nature more then they care about humans. Their allies wanted the same plus spend more public money on education and healthcare.
From a parliament windows which are facing west one can see a nice view of Munich in the fall.

There were stands showing gifts received by Bavarian parliament from other parliaments abroad. All but Russian were something nicely crafted and functional. Russian gift looks expensive and useless.
