Applied relativity

When debugging ieee1588 sync, that is also syncing with several different timers running on a PCIe device, different core's TSCs and LAPIC timers (don't ask me why!), the only way I can handle is using "shut up and calculate" approach.

As with special relativity and later quantum mechanics in my university study I quickly loose track of understanding what is happening. Then to get even simplest questions answered, I have to trust that if I do the algebraic calculations right, the result will match actual timings I measure.

A bonus game for me will be finding out if there is a statistical interpretation of tons of data on how the actual timer readings deviate from my calculations. I believe there must be some math that can help if I find where to look for it.
