Guines and startups

The smell was terrific when I was passing by the Guinness brewery. I've got a visitor badge from a guard, and entered the building. Lady at the reception was answering a call: "I cannot transfer the call to Lucy, there are 62 tenant companies in the building!" So this was not plain old brewery, that was a high-tech incubator. And there are tens of high-tech start-ups renting space in the former industrial building, slightly renovated. I guess the rent is cheaper then one their counterparts in St.Petersburg, Moscow or even N.Novgorod are paying (I am not sure about Bangalore).
There were ppl of 7 nationalities in the team of engineers I was meeting with, and even more diversity I saw in the canteen, where I had a lunch for just 2E (I wish I could pay the same in our cafeteria).

I wonder if so hyped "new Russian high tech incubators" could come close to the Irish brewery...

P.S. And Guinness from our supermarket sucks comparing to one from Dublin's supermarket, same bottle, same everything, taste differs :( .
